
Who is Fanie?
Fanie was born in Klerksdorp, North West Province, South Africa and matriculated at Klerksdorp High School in 1981. After two years national service he decided to study at North West University and was awarded his BCom degree in Industrial Psychology in 1984. He then continued his studies part-time and completed his Honnors, Masters and Doctorate degrees, all cum laude, by 1989. His working career started at AngloGold in Human Resources where he worked in the various fields. In 1994 he completed his Diploma in Training and Development, also cum laude, at the Technikon of the Witwatersrand. After many years in the gold mining industry he decided it was time for a new challenge.
Fanie Booysen started selling residential real estate in 2000 for Seeff Properties in Pretoria. He won top agent awards many times throughout 2000 - 2005 and became a member of the prestigious Property Professional Association of South Africa. He was soon invited to be a guest trainer to teach new agents how to get started.
In 2003 Fanie attended the National Association of Realtor's Convention in San Francisco, USA and again the following year in Orlando, Florida. He honed his selling skills and realty expertise with extensive training from top international instructors like David Knox, Dave Beson and Darryl Davis and became a Certified Realty Specialist (CRS) in Chicago soon thereafter.
By the end of 2005 Fanie felt his work was done at Seeff Properties. He started his own real estate company, Fanie Booysen Estates, in October 2005. In 2006 he became a Director of the Institute of Estate Agents of South Africa. He decided to further his education in real estate and completed his Certificate in Property Management (USA) in December 2008. In 2009 he obtained the NQF5 Real Estate, a competency certificate for principals required by the Estate Agency Affairs Board of South Africa.
Unlike most estate agents, he moves beyond simply sitting at "show houses" and distributing "flyers" in the hope that someone would show any interest. His effective marketing techniques and years of experience show his clients exactly why he became a top agent in the field. His personal touch has given him the competitive edge.
Fanie soon realised that his true joy in life came from helping others. He is actively involved in the community and has made a significant difference in very challenging situations. His community projects have touched the lives of many. Looking at what people say about him it is clear why he has become the obvious choice for people to work with.

As an authority on pricing, selling techniques and marketing skills, he helped many buyers and sellers to achieve their dreams.
